Widespread Lavatory Faucets That Can Give Your Bathroom Character

There are a lot of things to take into consideration when you are looking at updating, or remodeling your homes bathrooms, especially the faucets. While the faucet is generally something that we see as providing a simple function, there is no reason whatsoever that this fixture can not be more. Your simple bathroom faucet can be more, through the many designs and styles of widespread lavatory faucets that are available from many distinguished and respected manufacturers today.

For starters, let us take a look at a very elegant, and old-world style of faucet, the Delta Victorian 4555-RBLHP mini widespread faucet. This rustic, very old Roman style of faucet is something that can change the entire look and feel of a plain bathroom, all by itself. It gives the space real character and feeling, unlike the simple and basic utilitarian faucet you find installed in most homes these days. Not to mention the fact that because it is a smaller design of widespread faucet, it fits and looks better on many sinks, compared to the wider designs that require a different sink.

Another example of a fine faucet that provides more than just a simple function for the space it is in, is the Pegasus FW0B5230 7000 Series widespread lavatory faucets. While they don't have the kind of character that something like the Kohler Antique K-233-3D does, they provide a very clean and modern look and feel to the bath space.

If you are looking for something a little different, in terms of widespread lavatory faucets, perhaps something like the Kohler Oblo K-10094-9 would suit your fancy. While it is like all widespread designs and is a double handle lavatory faucet, it is different in the fact that the spout is offset. Rather than sharing the traditional design of most tall faucets of its kind where the spout is in the center of the sink, this interesting design has the spout in the far left position, while the two handles are on the right. When it comes to looking for widespread lavatory faucets that can give your bathroom something more than just providing a simple function, you can clearly see that there are many different designs and styles created by a variety of manufacturers that can change the look and feel of your bath forever.

Your descriptions of these faucets are just want I needed to get motivated to hunt for a style that fits our family and our style. I never really thought about updating it until I was reading here, and realized that the faucet we have really doesn’t match our style at all.

I am planning my bathroom renovation, and was considering placing the sink into the corner of the room. The Kohler faucet sounds neat; a side spout is just what I need for this bathroom renovation.

I just installed the Delta Victorian faucet into my bathroom, and it truly spruced up the room. My bathroom now looks like it is worth a million dollars, whereas before it looked like a generic bathroom. I highly recommend these faucets, as the spruce up value is incredible.

History Of Faucets

By Art Copper
Plumbing systems have already existed during ancient times. In fact, at around 1700 BC, The Minoan Palace of Knossos in Crete first featured a terra cotta-based piping that provided water for faucets, as well as faucets made of marble, gold and silver. During the Roman period, personal bathrooms and lead pipes have already existed (1000 BC - 476 AD). Rome's public baths were already equipped with silver faucets along with fixtures made of gold and marble.
